Phase 1 Closeout

  • Phase: Phase 1
  • Status: completed
  • Date: 2026-03-08
  • Owner: Codex
  • Objective: remove inherited product branding from user-facing docs and runbooks so Arqon Maestro is the canonical visible identity

Scope Completed

  • rewrote root runbooks to use Arqon Maestro as the canonical visible product name
  • updated troubleshooting, build, current-issues, and microphone docs to present Arqon naming first
  • updated published docs to describe Arqon-first config/env behavior instead of legacy-first behavior
  • reframed architecture and training docs away from inherited product branding

Files Changed

  • root runbooks:
  • RUN_COMMANDS.md
  • BUILD_TROUBLESHOOTING.md
  • TROUBLESHOOTING.md
  • MICROPHONE_TROUBLESHOOTING.md
  • CURRENT_ISSUES.md
  • TRAINING.md
  • ARCHITECTURE.md
  • published docs:
  • docs/guides/building.md
  • docs/models/training-models.md

Breaking Changes Introduced

  • none intentionally

Compatibility Shims Added

  • none in this phase

Compatibility Shims Removed

  • none in this phase

Verification Performed

  • manually reviewed updated runbooks for canonical Arqon naming
  • mkdocs build

Residual Risks

  • inherited path references under the serenade/ subtree still remain until Phase 3
  • inherited runtime identifiers such as serenade-driver still appear in technical documentation where they describe real internal module names

Rollback Point

  • local git rollback to the pre-Phase-1 worktree state before commit

Entry Criteria For Next Phase

  • closeout committed
  • tracker updated to completed
  • no user-facing doc should describe legacy names as canonical
